Bridget Donaldson
Aerolite Aviation Sustainability Lead: Private and Commercial Pilot.

Bridget Donaldson is a commercial airline pilot, engineer and Oxford University PhD researcher.  She has worked across commercial and military aviation environments for more than ten years.

From a start in the RAF Air Cadets and RAF University Air Squadron through to airline operations with two major airlines and advanced academic research in collaboration with ICAO, Bridget combines operational flying experience with academic expertise in sustainable aviation systems.  She is committed to future-proofing the aerospace industry through industry and academia collaboration.

She has worked extensively within aviation outreach, engineering, and sustainability leadership. A former scholarship recipient-turned-Sustainability Lead (and prior to that, Heritage Director for the Air League), she champions greater accessibility, representation, and environmental responsibility and supports young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue aviation careers.

She has worked at the heart of airline operations holding cabin crew, ground crew and head office roles. Her University of Oxford academic work also focuses on the future integration of sustainable operations and aviation jet fuel technology, and the balance between innovation, operational practicality and uncompromising safety standards.
